Christine Jacquet works for an internal consultancy firm for EDF. As an HR consultant in the field of mobility, one of her missions is to support employees, managers and the EDF management in implementing internal mobility. She shares her experience with the SOSIE 2nd GENERATION tool.
In what contexts do you use the SOSIE 2nd GENERATION tool?
We use SOSIE 2nd GENERATION, published by Pearson TalentLens, to help employees better understand themselves and become aware of their points of anchorage, professional operating modes and determine the professional contexts in which they will be most comfortable. We also use it to detect potential, either in certain roles (e.g. managers), or on a change of position (e.g. transition to executive positions).
What are, for you, the contributions of this personality and values inventory?
SOSIE 2nd GENERATION can be used in different contexts, whether in the context of recruitment, support for mobility or potential evaluation. It adapts to many uses.
For the mobility support part, the feedback gathered on SOSIE allows us to explore with the supported employee’s dimensions that we would not have been able to address so easily or spontaneously. It also allows us to establish a questioning that enables us to explore personality traits or professional behaviours even more precisely. Based on this exploration, we can advise employees on professional situations.
What feedback do you have from evaluators and those being evaluated?
Each time, those being evaluated are amazed by the relevance of the analyzes made on the basis of their profile; in evaluation, some managers and HR leaders have told us that they were impressed by the relevance of the results.
What did you think of the training you received on the use of this tool?
Training is essential to understand the meaning of personality traits and values being evaluated. It allows us to explore different avenues cross-referencing paths and analyze specific themes and particular skills. The big advantage is also being able to approach analysis techniques and debriefing of the test.
