Laurent Lopez and Isabelle Lopez are part of the Training Department within AXA France, respectively as Manager and Project Leader of the Strategy and Animation of mobility devices. They support AXA France's employees in their career development and offer them to answer the Which Career For Me: Professional questionnaire on motivations and professional interests. They share their feedback on the tool.
Mobility, an important lever to increase employability
I am Laurent Lopez, Head of Strategy and Mobility Devices including Resources + at AXA France. After a short career as a dental prosthetist, I moved to Paris in 1993 and joined AXA Assistance as an assistance aide. Mobility and opportunities led me in 2006 to join the Training Department of AXA France. Initially a Training Partner, I evolved in 2011 to a CRH position then HRBP until my current position.
I have always seized the opportunity offered by the company to develop myself through mobility and the accumulation of skills as my experiences progressed.
This is the example I want to give to employees so that they can continue to develop their employability throughout their career and participate in the transformation of the company and professions.
I am Isabelle Lopez, Project Manager for Strategy and Animation of mobility devices at AXA France. I have been with AXA France for over 20 years where I have had the opportunity to practice different professions through Communication, Purchasing and HR. I am a witness that mobility is very accessible at AXA.
In HR, I have had the chance to hold different positions where I have realized how much mobility is an important lever to increase employability. To support the transformation of the company, we need agile people who can develop and train throughout their professional career.
At Axa France, we are committed to energizing the professional journey of our employees
We are attached to the Training Department within AXA France.
The training offer is culturally very rich. Learning, whether it is technical, relational, or self-learning, is essential to move forward.
The HR Department of AXA France is committed to energizing the professional journey of its employees by allowing them to discover new professions thanks to internal mobility.
We are aware that some of the jobs of tomorrow do not yet exist today. The expectations of our customers are evolving, we must be able to act, and anticipate their needs to respond to changes in behavior. It also seems essential to be able to equip our employees with job offers that reflect this to support them in their long term skill development.
We have a GPEC agreement (Forecast Management of Jobs and Skills/ Strategic Workforce Planning) and professional paths, in this context we confirm the initiatives put in place to promote sustainable employability. We have great career opportunities open to all, at AXA France and within the Group.
Using MOTIVA Which Career For Me: Professional to help our employees find their path
We have various mechanisms to support our employees in their career development. Each employee can find the one that best suits their current situation, regardless of their career stage.
Which Career For Me: Professional, powered by Motiva is a tool made freely available to our permanent administrative staff at AXA France. We offer this questionnaire on motivations and professional interests, as part of HR advice and internal mobility.
We wanted a tool that would allow our employees to find their path. To help all those who have questions about their professional orientation, who are wondering about which jobs to apply for. Or simply those who wish to identify their motivations and professional interests.
The only test that combines the analysis of professional interests and work motivation
We are used to using tests in HR. Ultimately, in recent years our choice has fallen on Which Career For Me: Professional because it is very accessible and seems to be the only one that combines the analysis of professional interests and work motivation.
Looking reflectively with the benevolent gaze of a third party helps to accelerate decision-making. Which Career For Me: Professional is a tool that allows this, thanks to a simple and accessible reading of its professional interests and motivations.
In addition, the professions list is an asset for future career planning. Whilst the customized mapping to internal jobs at AXA France allows us to see the compatibility of our employees' skills with our professions.
The Which Career For Me: Professional questionnaire is simple, easy and quick (about 15 minutes to complete). It can be taken at any time. The test results are immediate and self-supporting, which provides great flexibility. Our employees have the opportunity to request a one-hour feedback session from one of our 15 certified Which Career For Me: Professional HR advisors.
We were trained in Which Career For Me: Professional (initial training in 2017 and then advanced training in 2019) by Yves Duron, co-author of MOTIVA. This training allows us to fully understand the theoretical foundations of the tool and to assimilate all the business areas. The group also allows for a great dynamic, especially during practical exercises.
Advanced training courses are essential for progressing and sharing our feedback practices.
The most important thing, above all, is to practice to gain ease and preparation time. This professionalization helps us to highlight the salient points of the test, to grow in our coaching style to sometimes restore confidence, and above all to co-construct the action plan with the employee.
Since its availability in 2017, we have nearly 1,000 employees who have already benefited from Which Career For Me: Professional and 20% have requested to benefit from a personalized and confidential debrief.
More than positive feedback from collaborators who have taken Which Career For Me: Professional
We interviewed collaborators who had a debriefing after their Which Career For Me: Professional session, and here is what they told us:
"The Which Career For Me: Professional test gave me insight and structure regarding my motivations and possible perspectives. Especially since I have a long career in Operational Marketing, and I wanted to explore another potential horizon. What I liked the most is the fact of having feedback from an HR Partner. A rich and enlightening exchange. It helped me a lot to be able to highlight my motivation drivers. It's important to structure your possible future. The advantage is also being able to open the field of possibilities; the paths we don't think about.
I am about to join the "Test Academy". Which Career For Me: Professional has greatly contributed to the preparation of my recruitment interviews. To move from Operational Marketing to IT... I had to find the anchor points!"
"I was able to be listened to and understood and this "validated" my desire to leave."
"A better understanding of my skills, my appetites and my motivations"
"Asking myself the right questions about my needs."
"An insight into the possibilities related to my desires."
"Knowledge of the professions that could suit me”.
"Reinforce my aspiration”.
"A confirmation!"
"The confirmation that I am in the right position with ideas for future job positions."
