Thierry shares his thoughts on the insights and benefits gained by using this tool.
“I think that Which Career For Me (WCFM) is quite complete, in the sense that we handle the register of motivations, the register of professions and also the training path. And it adds something else which is really the identification and somehow the appropriation of a certain number of competences and soft skills which allow them to project themselves, to fight against a lot of self-censorship, to work thoroughly on stereotypes and to finally say to oneself, “I have the possibility, I can authorize myself to”.
I think that the WCFM process really allows us to cover these different stages and to support the young person in depth, both on a collective and individual level. I think that this test also offers the benefit of being able to do coaching in small groups (2, 3, 4) where they can learn from the experiences of others and learn to look at their profile and I think that this is really interesting. At the same time, of course, individual coaching. The tool has the advantage of being able to provide support on demand for both groups and individuals, and I find that really interesting.”
“For some people this test comes as a bit of a "revelation" in the sense that intuitively they knew that but they never “dared” to say it...The process also allows the student to anchor the information progressively as it is very progressive."
“I would say that the fundamental steps in WCFM are obviously the job list but also job stereotypes. Because to read a profession finally one puts in relation the soft skills which were highlighted but one also puts the sense. This is fundamental because through the exercise of a profession, through the soft skills, through the type of company I want to go to, through the type of training I want to go to, we manage to put the meaning back at the heart of the subject, to make the link between who I am and what I want to do. And this tool really allows us to bring these two aspects together. Overall, the students are quite impressed. When students fill in the "validate your project" module, it fits, it matches and therefore the student comes out of it empowered.”
“WCFM allows us to lay a first stone and we can find out "which way students want to go" and, depending on the student’s feedback, we can see the aspects on which we need to deepen our individual coaching at that moment."
